East Village
Founded by the husband-and-wife team Greg Northrop and Nina Berott back in 2000, has a rich history that's as New York as it gets. It all started with the iconic Mudtruck, a converted van parked near Astor Place, where they sold their unique coffee blend. The name "Mud" comes from Greg's Italian grandmother, who affectionately called her coffee "mud." Today, Mudspot has evolved into a cozy cafe with a mystical garden, offering all-day brunch, specialty craft beers, and of course, their signature high-quality coffee. It's a place where locals gather, and you can experience the true spirit of the East Village. Plus, with its hipster vibe, delicious brunch deals, and welcoming atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to make new friends and feel at home in your new city.
